03' G has w/full Bose 6disc changer - MiliAmp DRAIN ISSUES!

So I found out why after 3 months my batteries were dying. On the second battery, I took it to my trusted tech and guru' @ Protech here in Marietta.

He went thru and diagnosed the entire car. It ended up being in my "nissan" HU behind the dash panels. My question is I know several of you have upgraded to an aftermarket HU and system. Well, he tells me the wiring for the Bose system is directly associated with the Body wiring.

Do they make a kit to convert this or is it a royal pain in the *** having to re-wire everything?

The new unit is 1600.00, refurbished is 800.00, and from my body shop's stock pile yard is 375.00. I feel like i could upgrade the system for that easily.

I read the other Sticky but missed that one because it was labeled 05'.

Good information, it looks like it would run over 600.00 with a new HU so i'll just grab a scrapped car and take it from there. 378.00 shipped

The HU didn't actually die, it just has a minor drain. I put a brand new Interstate battery in about 3 weeks ago and it killed it in that amount of time.

My GF is my paint sponsor, they own a body shop so she has some good pull with used and salvaged parts The salvaged ones at a "A" grade part, car had 50k on it, are 380 shipped
