Well...... I took the pain staking task of removing my cd player because I thought was jammed, because it said error. I got it apart and took the cd's out and still same result.

In the process I think I made a mistake... I accidently pulled on the wires instead of the plug and they came out... I tried to put them back in order, but I think they touched and then I smelt something....

The top right plug is the one with the 6 colors in order of:

Pink/Brown/Yellow/Gray
Blue/Nothing/Nothing/Green

Now I don't have any SOUND at all... Geez if its not one thing, its another...

Do you think it's the radio or the amp?

Any help would be appreciated...

 

its the radio. take it to the dealer and get it free on warranty.. if you still have warranty?

 

No its an 03, so the radio is not in warranty...

Anyone have one for sale?

Check all the other g35 forums, But russell you are a monster! ripping that radio out!

 

yeah it took a few hours... kick panels on up to the center console up to the clock cover.... Now I cant put it back together till I get something to fix it...

have any buddies with a G that could swap out their radio with urs and get theres done under warranty? (so to speak)

 

FYI the manufacture date is clearly marked on the HU itself, so take that into account if you plan on trying to trick your dealer.
