What volume level?
I remember seeing a thread about this not too long ago. I am still using stock Bose HU, and speakers, but have used a harness to bypass factory amp and wired in a Alpine MRV-345 with 105.6 Watts RMS @ 4 ohms, with gain set at 2.5 for the input.
Depending on what I am listening too I keep it volume set at 10-13, and it seems fine. I have a couple cd's that are really low volume so i turn up to 18. I cranked it up to 22 the other day just to see how it was, and it was crazy loud.
So for you guys cranking it up to max vol, are you cruising around at 80 Mph with the windows down or something? Or using stock amp and an added sub?
I have not gotten around to building my amp rack yet or installing my sub and sub amp. But even with stock speakers and the alpine amp running full freq to the stock speakers it has way more bass than stock.
