does anyone know if u there is a specific type of nav disc we are supposed to use with our dvd systems?

 

i don't know if you have to use the factory disc.. but i have no problems with my factory disc in my 05... last time i went to the dealer i asked how much is the upgraded disc... way too much.. i think he said 700.. when he said that i was like ok thanks bye.. lol

 

Whoever you talked to at the dealer is a complete moron. Goto zenrin.com to buy factory updated disks ($190). It is possible to backup your exisiting navi disks on a dual layer DVD, but you also need the update CD to get your navi to use the new dvd. There's lots of threads about this...
