Re: aftermarket radio question

any of the brands you mentioned are great. Its really a matter of preference. Go to a few shops and see what sounds good to you. I have used MB Quarts and have been very happy with them. Now that i have had more exposure to other brands, i prefer a different set of speakers, but again, its all a matter of preference.

BTW- to the person who stated that their 4V preout in their HU is going to be better than my stock hu...i will be using a line driver to provide a signal much higher than that of 4V, closer to 9V...it can be done.

Re: aftermarket radio question

They replaced it, supposedely with a new unit and not a refurb, all 3 times, but that's a whole other issue that I've griped plenty about in other threads.

Re: aftermarket radio question

yeah im sure it will sound great, I too replaced all my speakers and put in my amps and clarion eq with a LOC, and it did sound ok, stress ok, you just cant get the stage and imaging with the bose that you can with and aftermarket unit, i hear things now that you will never hear with the bose, regardless of your voltage, i had a phoenix gold PLD that increased my voltage, so I am familiar with upping your voltage, and you are right that will help, but going thru a converter just distorts your signal too much.
