Subs & Speakers... (any good??)
I am looking at getting my Stereo installed soon. Just got my Kenwood DDX6019, DD Finisher, AC controls and now I am on the search for Subs / Speakers / AMP's
I am looking at 2 of these for subs (below)
http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...odel=SWX-1042D
I am looking at these speakers Front and back (below)
http://www.alpine-usa.com/en/product...model=SPX-177R
And 2 of these amps (below)
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=252
Or would there be any benifit with my set up to get one of these JL 1000/1 (below) and one JL 500/1 (above)
http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_amps.php?amp_id=221
Thank you very much for taking the time to look at this set up! I do not know to much about audio and would really appreciate the help
Thanks again!!

Personally, everything that you have in mind are good companies.
Now, I am biast when it comes to subs because i've been most impressed and have been most satisfied with JL subs. If you're planning to go for:
1) SHOW: I would probably go for a single 12W7 with a fancy enclosure. The 1000/1 JL monoblock is more than sufficient for that sub. I ran that setup in my previous Subaru, and it was actually overkill for what I wanted for a daily.
2) Daily Driver Status: I would go for a 10W6v2 with the 1080 driver/passenger box that you could pick up from the 1080 sponsor on these forums, that i'm pretty sure you've heard a lot about already. If you run that with a 500/1 JL amp that would be sufficient for a daily driver with nice thump setup.
3) Daily Driver but with more thump: You could run the same setup as above but shove (2) 10W6v2's, enclosing both [driver/passenger] sides with 1080 boxes. I've heard the boxes in person (but with different subs) and they're gorgeous.
I personally have never heard the speakers, but I'm planning to run Focals for my speakers due to all the positive feedback, and reputable product-line.
I love Alpine for their head-units, and their "Type-S" & "Type-R" subs. They're good for the price, but would rather get JL subs if it were in your budget.
Hopefully this helps, if it didn't then... I DON'T CARE!
lol jk good luck man.

Hey, thanks for your feedback!
Are you talking about these boxes?
https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-video-electronics/105515-4080-passenger-side-speaker-box-finished.html
I am really thinking hard about getting these boxes. I really am considering 2 subs, one for each side... As you mentioned I am looking to this for show and want to try to keep it symetrical.
I am really liking these subs actually. I have looked at many and I think these will thump and rock... And I have not seen them in to many rides yet so +1 for originality

These Type-X subs seem to be there high end subs and for inverted installation I think they look cool as well
I definately will go with the JL for the AMP's tho... This crap gets expensive as @(#(%$!

lol yea, expensive is what JL gets after a sleu of getting attached to their parts haha. However I'm not too sure if they'll be able to fit in the 1080's. You could actually PM 1080 and they'll provide the info as to whether or not these subs will fit in their boxes.
+1 on what ppl have been saying.. JL is popular for a reason and thats cuz they kick ****
Im guessing since your car is more for show, you should come up with a nice design instead of the standard 4080 box..it IS for show right? I dunno if u know my setup or not but it hits pretty hard and sounds great after i figured out all my little troubles
So I guess I am JL Biased.. but most people are anyways. Post pics when you start the install!
