Z1 Install Cost - Too expensive?

Hi, I went out and got a couple quotes to get the following installed in the 06 Coupe with Premium package:

Avic Z1
Bluetooth Adaptor
Rearview Camera
Steering Wheel Controller

I am hooking it up to the standard factory speakers (bose)

One of them said it's 8-10 hour job so it would be around 500.

Another place quoted me 600.

Is that how much it cost people to do?

8-10hrs? HAHA

That's realistically speaking a 3-4hr job MAX. You should pay around 200-300 for it

they keep talking about the bose system and bypassing amp or something???

then they are like the rear view camera is going to be a pain to drill holes????? and create a mount...

i dont want to get screwed over

I got a quote of $1800 for installation and the unit. Don't know how much you got the Z1 for, but my installer said it'd take him 2-3 hours, because he'd put in the double din too.

Did it twice recently. I put in a Z1, Rockford sub and amp, xm radio with nav traffic, rear view camera, and radar detector lidar shifter. Took little over eight hours only because my brother has the same car and tore his apart the two days before. If you know what you doing it will take eight hours.

The rear-view camera alone will take about 3 hours. You guys saying 2-3 hours for the whole install need to pull your head out of your azz.

2-3 hours, yeah right....

well its possible, but for a job done right it'll take about 8 hrs prolly more

just remember, when paying for stereo installs, you get what you paid for

Most any A/V job in a G with Bose generally bumps the price. Depends on what's being changed, of course. But in general they charge more.

Why would it bump the price, they sell a special line out Harness that works with Bose and Nissan.

I paid $25 for it. It simply converts the pre outs from the aftermarket radio to the stock harness.

OR

You could use a line out converter and then adjust the gains.
