Voltage problems Help

hey guys i recently had a small amp and subs installed in my 03 coupe. Ive noticed that at high volumes especially with music with lots of bass my car feels like its losing power. The lights are not dimming or anything but i feel the tranny and rear diff shiffting funny at all speeds. I took it back to the place where i had the stuff installed at and they recomended a cap. when the cars at idle it idles between 13.7 and 14.2 volts but when we turned up the stereo it dips to below 12.8. could they have possibly wired something wrong?

here is a list of what i had installed
1 - Bose system
2 - jl 250/1
3 - 4 gauge wiring kit
4 - 2 jl10w3vs in a sealed box.

Something was done wrong...get it checked at another place if they can't find the problem. You got guys in here running two jl amps without caps and not having problems. You have a 250/1 which is a very light amp and shouldnt be havin problemss.

On my 03 I had a jl 500/1 and 8w7 installed in my car by a suppossedly professional place...Had the same exact problem and got scared with messing up the tranny so I took it out. When at high volumes the tranny would jerk when it shifted and felt like it was losing power. Not a good feelin at all...

Good luck and let us know what the problem turns out to be..
