Steering wheel controls

Hey guys
I just recently got my double din pioneer avh-6800 headunit installed at tweeter along with the pac-swix and they said that they couldnt get it to program right and I have been reading info and everyone on here is saying that the pac-swix is the correct one. Any idea what's wrong?

You need to figure out what they mean by "wrong". There are some quirks- things you can't get the steering wheel controls to do (for example, you can't make the TRACK UP, DOWN buttons on the steering wheel function as *both* TRACK UP, DOWN and PREVIOUS, NEXT Radio Preset). The power button also will not function as a power button.

But it will work in some capacity.

only thing that bothers me is that you have to choose between preselect or track up/down you can't have both

I am remember reading somewhere that when programming the PAC-SWI you have to do it with the car running. The reason being that the voltage will be the same as when you are using it, as oppose to sitting in your car with just the accesories on.

Try that , and let us know. Good luck
