Take holder/mount off of metal disc - cubby can close partially (the disk for the 660 has to stick up higher than the picts in Cavu's photos) due to the mount/wiring connection. I'll post up some picts right now....

Here are some camera phone picts I took of the 660 mounted in the cubby like Cavu did.... Sorry for the bad quality. I bought glue & was going to glue the metal disk, but then thought I'd try using the sticky/adhesive that is already on the back of the disk. So far it's holding just fine...if not, I'll just epoxy it.

Skinnyguy12 - No...didn't hardwire it yet. I won't do this until I get someone to help me out w/ a DIY that I know works and also, need to get feedback on how to route the wire from the inside of the cubby to the fuse panel.
Cavu - the 660 model doesn't have a plug that plugs directly into the nav unit....the plug goes to the suction mount (kind of like a quick release mount), so I don't have to keep plugging & unplugging it (just stick it in the docking station & you're good to go)...I believe your model is the opposite...directly plug it into the unit...no? I can't mount the disk lower, as the plug that plugs into the mount is at the bottom (this is what gets in the way of the cubby). I CAN close my cubby with the suction mount removed BTW.
Thanks

I hardwired my Garmin C320 this weekend. It runs on straight 12VDC so it was no big deal. I just found a plug that fit (I wanted to save the original cig plug) and then found a circuit that was hot when the key was on. I ran the wire up under the dash and out by the defroster of my Grand Prix (company car).
