Install before the finisher.

Ok, so lets say I want to swap out my HU, but don't want to wait untill the finisher comes in. If I just set the AC to a temp I am ok with and take the dash apart, then install the radio without the finisher or ac controls, it shoud be ok right? The bracket that is there can be used and I'm the only one who is ever in the car so it dosen't matter what it looks like. Would this cause any problems?

If I were you, I wait, or just order the finisher from yoshi, it only takes a week. And if you were to drive around with a nice head unit without the finisher, I'd steal it if I saw it. J/K. It be so easy to steal. max 3 min to jack your nice new radio.

Thankfully, theft isn't a problem around here. And I have 5% all around, you wouldn't know it was there unless you were going to jack it anyways. The problem is I drive 100 mi a day and the stock HU is doing the speaker fade crap. I want to swap it this weekend.

even if you set your temp, it will revert back to "auto a/c" which will set the fan to max

dont forget you'll have to take it all apart again once the finisher does arrive and it'll look like ***. i'd just wait the 1.5 weeks or less it takes from yoshi.

This is correct. The fan will be blasting uncontrollably if the climate controls are not attached.
