Anyone have this combination?

Alright, so I think it's about time to upgrade the audio (2003.5 G35 coupe w/bose and nav). I currently have basically a stock bose system, but upgraded the front components with a jl audio set, and dynamat on both doors. Pretty basic. I was looking at getting a 4080 box, a rockford fosgate P310D4 (10" 800 watt dual 4-ohm) and a rockford fosgate P250.2 amp (250x1 rms @ 4 ohms, peak 750 watts). Obviously this is not as nice of a setup as the popular JL 500/1 amp and 10w6v2 sub combo, but it's also quite a bit cheaper. So my questions is, does anyone here have this setup? How does it sound? Will these pieces work well with the 4080 box? Am I going to be pissed that I didn't spend the extra cash and get JL? Thanks for reading, all comments are welcome!

I believe you have to slightly modify the mounting ring on the 4080 box to fit the P3. On the P3 the speaker terminals get in the way.

p3

Is there another rockford speaker that would fit in there without modifying the box that would sound good? I'd rather not modify the box or the speaker, something that would just screw in easily would definitely be preferred. Any other combinations or amp/sub that are in that price range that may sound better? Thanks!
