Problem with my amplifier??? help
Well for the past couple of months I've been getting static and popping in my right front speaker at very low volumes or even when the volume is off...but when turned up it would go away...and it seemed to be only when first getting in the car, after a couple minutes it would go away completely.
The system consists of:
stock HU with Bose bypassed
JL 500/1 playing a 10" sub
JL 300/2 powering the front diamond audio component sets.
Stock HU outputs were connect to twisted pair rca's to send a signal to the amps.
No speakers in the side or the rear deck. Outputs from the 300/2 tied back into the factory speaker wires going up to the front speakers.
The gains in the amp were using the method stated in the manual.
Tests:
1. First I wanted to check the incoming signal. On the 300/2 i swapped the left for right, and right for left channel rca to see if the static noise would go to the other side. Well that didn't do anything. Even totally unplugged the right channel RCA and still got some popping.
2. Then checked the output. I placed the left channel speaker tire into the right channel outputs ports...and now I have static in the left channel.
So this leads me to believe its something in the amplifier and not the wire to wire connection which I was hoping for.
Any ideas or conclusions? Why does when I turn the volume up the noise go away and also when it has "warmed up" it goes away.
I think another test I should do is try another amp to make sure it isnt a wire to wire connection thats bad.

Another test I just did. I put the right speaker into the left channel..and plays fine. I left it in this config and will try tommorow morn to make sure. Same idea as trying another amp on it. Pretty much confirms my right channel on the amp is messed up in a way.
