Can I use the 6.5 spkrs without component set?
Can I use the 6.5 spkrs without component set?
I dont have any CROSSOVER part but jsut the speakers. So I'm wondering for now if just installing the speakers will do any better than Bose? I know the impedance are going to be different but I just want something with a bit more clarity and umph with still using the volume setting of 0-23 or so.

Re: Can I use the 6.5 spkrs without component set?
well i havent done that, but i would think it wont make it sound worse...people have replaced just the tweeters and have claimed to notice an improvement in sound...
By the way, you should keep in mind that the bose amp requires a different impedence than the typical 4 ohms that most car audio speakers are rated at. With that being said, the speakers may be underpowered and not sound very good at all....you may also notice a decrease in total sound output..or possibly a slight increase depending on the impedence requirements of the stock amp and those of your speakers.
With all that technical stuff being said..try it out and see what you think..it cant hurt.
