dc outlet

just wondering does anybody's g sedan's dc outlet located in the armrest work?? i plugged my friend's car charger and the dc to ac inverter, and still....NOTHING! my friends coupe's outlet works. i trying to decide whether or not to take it in and have them fix it or not. what do you guys think?

did you check the fuses?

I tried using the one on the G when the car was off. Thinking it was broken, I used the one on my brother's Jetta. Later, I turned the G on and lowandbehold, teh outlet worked.

Car doesn't have to be cranked, but it is on the ACC line so you at least have to have the key turned to ACC.

yeup, my car was on and running and it still showed no signs of life. whats up with it? can anyone help with this problem? w/out saying "use the cig. lighter outlet"

i've had the problem 3 times, and they replaced the fuse i believe, but its screwed up again. they tried to say it was from getting too hot from having the charger in it, but i barely used the charger this time and it still broke.

I have that problem also. I checked mines and it was plugged in. I didn't check the fuse though. Maybe that's the problem.
