2007 g35 - dvd mod?

Hello friends. I have a brand spanking new G, and I was wondering if it is possible to mod or hack the DVD player in order to make it play DVD's while driving? What are my options besides an aftermarket a/v setup system.

Thanks!

Search?

Greetings and welcome to the board!

Have you done a search? Most new people don't try out the search function. While I don't have a navi in my car, I'm sure I've heard of others who've converted theirs to play DVDs without having the stop the car.

Good luck,
A

If I'm not mistaken, someone told me that you can play vids while driving if you engage the E brake slightly (enough for it to "think" it's engaged but not actually engaging the E brake). This is '07 G specific though and I haven't tested it since I still have my '05 G.

Actually it uses both - ebrake has to be on, and the car can't be moving. Either stops the video.
