I have a 2003.5 G35 sedan w/ out bose. If i hook up the PAC AAI-NIS2 or the USASpec through my SAT will i see text of artist or song? Any one know? Thanks.

I have the USASpec in my 2003.5 w/ Bose. As 4-door Skyline noted, the HU doesn't display artist/song. It just shows "CD5-" and a random track number. The steering wheel controls work, though, and the sound is much better than with RF.

I do not believe there are any adapters that display the track info on the stock HU.

 

Year or two ago, before PAC even released AAI-NIS adapter, there was a discussion on nissanmurano.org forum started by the user jaak that had all the schematics needed, basically a cook book on how to make the N-Bus adapter that connects to either HU or SAT pass-through port, which was able to write anything you like to the HU display. The thread was unfortunately removed from that site but I remember that jaak, sid6581 and other users actually made it working.

I know that SAT connector on HU is different than a pass-through port on SAT receiver and I never obtained one for pass-through port, although Phatnoise had them they didn’t want to sell me one without also buying a PhatBox.
