New to the IPOD club...few questions for the gurus please??!

So I finally got an IPOD for xmas, since I was too lazy to buy one myself. It is the 30G Video 5th Gen U2 Ed.

I have been living on outdated but useable technology and putting money elsewhere.

Anywho, I have been uploading all kinds of songs to it and even bought an IPOD program that will allow you to share the music files from other IPODs.

My nephew gave me the Sharepod Program that is supposed to convert songs or videos so you can put them on your IPOD.
Well I have been trying for the last few days and I suck at it. I keep getting errors.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get these vids on to my IPOD or the menu selections on this program? I got most of the vids from LimeWire, and they are Xvid's if that helps.
Any help would be appreciated, since I don't know many people with IPODS ( I know, very sad).

Also, is there anything else I should buy for it? Any recommendations on skins (especially for working out), accessories (I plan to buy the USA kit for the G, cause my FM trans. sucks), programs, etc.

Thanks......

I cannot stand iTunes so I use Media Money (http://www.mediamonkey.com/) to manage my music library. The standard version is free and the enhanced version is only $20.

Enjoy your new toy!

That's a pretty cool program. Way more organized and user friendly.

Youve got to charge it up first.
