Heated Seats LED bulb

I done a search and couldn't find the answer.

My car is out of warranty.

My heated switch LED bulb is burnt out (the one that comes on when you turn on your heated seats). I took it apart and it looks like a simple blub that unplugs, however, I called my local Infiniti dealer and they insist that I need to purchase a complete new switch.

Does anyone know where I can find the LED bulb or know of the part # for the bulb if my dealer is incorrect?

It's not an easy soder job either since the whole rubber casing that surrounds the LED involves bending wires/resistors to fit so that it plugs in.

Thanks.

Look up the threads from the guys that have replaced all of their bulbs.

There isn't an Infiniti part # for just the bulb, your dealer is correct.

I've read all the threads, there was one guy who did the blue LED upgrade and said that Infiniti had the bulb which is why I was inquiring. All I know is that he sodered the blue one in place of his amber. I also know that it's a 3mm LED, but will any 3mm LED work or are there specific bulbs that I need for it? I'm assuming that I will need to reuse the factory resistor.

I just took the LED apart, the factory resistor is 1300 ohms... why is that? Most of the 3mm resistors I see only require 330 ohms roughly. Anyone know the reasoning?

UPDATE: I've successfully located a place that carried the AMBER 3mm LED bulbs as well as the 1/8 watt resistor. Factory resistor was 1300ohms but I opted for a 360ohm resistor (from my LED bulb specs). After sodering the resistor and wire on, I tested it out and it pretty much matches the OEM colour and brightness.
