06 Head unit in an 03???

Hey, does anyone know if the radio out of an 06 will fit in my 03? and if so, what would i have to change to make it work? Mine wont play mp3's and its my understanding that the 06 radio does. Not to mention my 6disc is messin up on me. Any info would be appreciated.

It will fit and will work but your climate control (for heat an a/c) won't because the harness is different.

can the heater control wiring be matched up to make it work? or is that just entirly too muct to mess with? would it be as simple as pulling the wires out if the plus and putting them in the plug for the newer hearter controls?

I haven't heard or seen anyone who has attempted this. In my opinion it looks like a pain in the @ss and would be entirely to much to mess with. Someone on the forums was trying to fit the 05+ cluster in there 03-04 and were tracing the wire diagrams to do so. PM AccordFreak and ask him. From a lot of his threads that I have read he seems to be very knowledeable about the electrical system of the G.

Everything works except the temp control. i haven't had time to figure it out.. Also you have to cut up your center console. I was going to cut up mine anyways to install gauges, so i added the 05 radio, lowered it and relcated the navi controls. still a work in progress...

here it is a pic recently primered. lots of cleaning up to do. no time to do it....

i dunno if i should wrap it or paint it...

Ok so regardless of the AC/Heater controls not working, the 06 headunit is not a direct fit on the 03's? I had thoughts of doing this as well and was hoping to be able to play MP3's.
