Audio Install precautions?

I'm about to change the speakers and add a couple of amps to my G35c and i read a post about disconnecting the battery and problems with the windows. Do I need to make sure the windows are down before disconnecting the battery or can I just do it with the windows all the way up and the doors shut?

Any other precautions i need to know about before my install?

Thanks!

Re: Audio Install precautions?

I would open both doors before disconnecting the battery or just roll them down completly. If you do a disconnect with doors closed (windows up all the way), you cannot open them or close them until battery is connected again. Well you might be able to open them with battery disconnected, but you cannot close them with battery disconnected. The best thing is to roll them down completly before disconnecting bat. This will also allow for speaker install. You will need to insure the magnet on the door speaker does not interfere with window down. I had to make a spacer out of wood for my door speakers. Good Luck!

if you disconnect the battery, you should also remove the CDs from changer.
