Speaker wire

Hey does anyone know what guage the stock wire is on an 03 coupe with bose? I wanted to put in a set of 150 watt RMS components do you think I need to upgrade the wire?

I think it's 20, might be 18. If you're going to be running 150 to each door you should probably upgrade.

from the looks of it I would have to agree maybe 18ga at best, more likely 20ga. I would suggest upgrading to 16ga, anything larger is not really necessary for that kind of power. Be prepared to set aside some time, I just spent 3 hours running wire to the doors.

What amp are you throwing at it? 150 RMS is gonna be crazy power.
