IPod install

I've been looking through allot of the threads to try and find the best way to integrate an IPod w/ a 05 Factory Bose system, it looks like the USA Spec is the one to go with, but when I go to sites that sell it like crutchfield, they show that it will not work, I even contacted crutchfield and they said it will not work unless the HU has the CD/CHG button, which none of the 05's up have.... Can someone tell me what I'm missing here? I was also looking for the best place to place the I-Pod, I saw a couple people using the proclip, which looks good, but I'd rather have it a little concealed, has anyone placed it in the center console, the Useless cupholder area? Is it difficult to route the cable back to that area?

go to an audio shop and get their suggestions, you can always add aux input.

I would like to place the IPod in the center cupholder area, any thoughts on routing the cable back there?

if you push the cd button twice it will go to the changer mode... the USA spec one works perfect, installed in my car in about an hour (only because I was afraid to pull the dash apart). If you get the proclip it makes the install even cleaner.
