question for MAX675VD owners

I've just installed my deck and notice the the RCA outputs are very low, I couldn't find the specs on the voltage, but I'm guessing that it's 1v or less. I need to turn up the gain on my amps all the way to get a decent level out of them. Even with the gains maxed out, the volume needs to be at around 25 to get loud. I've been considering a line driver to boost the signal to 4-6v anyone try this yet and did it introduce any noise?

The pre-amp voltage is 2v from the specs I read. I also have the Max675VD but haven't installed my amp yet. Should be installed w/in the next two weeks. I'll see how mine turns out.

most headuits putout their maximum output voltage at around 60-80perent volume...this is why when the gains are properly adjusted, you should be listening to music with the volume on your headunit fairly high.

for example, if your headunit's volumes goes to 60, your normal listening volume should be around 40-50...

your max675 should be 2volt, just like many double din dvd headunits...
