im thinking of going with another mp3 player instead of ipod because other mp3 players can project menu screen to my navigation screen..

However, as far as i know it, only the ipod can be controlled from steering wheel controls.. Does anyone know any other mp3 players and what interface that can control them from our steering controls

 

Im in the same boat. Dont really want to get an ipod.

 

or maybe an mp3 player that has a steering mounted control?

that way we could still have some kinda good control..

i dont wanna use a remote to control my ipod...

cuz right now it looks like my options are either to use the USASPEC and gain control from my steering wheel,
or use any one of these docks that will project the menu on the screen but i will lose anykinda steering control

I have a Zen Micro ( no video) that I'd like to hook in directly to the stereo and control it with steering controls. I e-mailed the manufacturer with no response yet.
I think that the basic wiring for the Ipod kits would work except for the wire taht connects to the Ipod - mine needs a usb connector.

What other MP3 players can show on the LCD Screen? I don't have navigation, but do have the LCD Screen with a video RCA jack (07 G35x with Preminum, and XM).
