2003 Infiniti G35 Auxiliary Input coming late 1st quarter 2004
The G35 Aux input (part # to released later) works with a Satellite ready factory radios. It has two auxiliary inputs selected by the SAT button on face of radio. The G35 Aux input is the first in the industry to use the steering wheel or radio buttons to send out commands to PAC's optional SWI-X which can be used to control and MP3 player, DVD, VCP or most devices that use an infrared remote. (This aux input will not work if the vehicle is already equipped with a satellite receiver

Good news but sux for people that already spent the $$ on a satalite radio
Too bad they couldn't make a pass-through or something...

 

Now with the double-din replacement information, is this device made "useless" (except for those who want to keep the factory radio)?

I'd be much more interested in a device that only interfaces with the steering wheel controls and will work with an IR remote. This enables you to change to a DIN radio and still use the steering wheel controls (not that I'm keeping my wheel forever anyway).

excuse me for sounding like an idiot but this means that we can now control aux sources through the steering wheel. this will work just with a new g35 or with this special connector?

 

The unit probably takes signals origionaly intended to control the sat module and uses those signals to control an ir. Since these signals are probably comming from the hu you are probably out of luck as far as this adapter is concerned...

 

Nice! But I just have a base model 6mt coupe, I didn't get a SAT option or premium package....does this mean I won't be able to use this? Will this work on all 04 coupes?
