anyone else have problems with their BOSE CD player? I have an 04 6mt copupe and bought it brand new. After about 6 months the CD player cuts out on the driver side speakers. I took it to the dealer multiple times and they could never find the problem. After blowing my top I had them replace it while it was under warrenty. Ther "new" one ended up having the same issues.

At first I thought it was the wiring to the back of the radio, but the Radio, cassette and sirius are working fine. Its only when I play CDs. I have yet to fix the problem, but when it cuts out I bang the sh#t out of the center consoul until it comes back on.

Ever since Howard came to sirius I really haven't had the need for the CD player, but it still annoys me to this day.

 

Had the same problem about 10 months, take it to the dealer and replace the HU. I am on my 3 rd HU, just had the dreaded F.O. Error.

 

this is a problem that many people have on 03-04 coupe. Ya, just take it back and have them put a new one in over and over again. I think I had mine changed at least 3 times until I just upgraded to a double din.

 

I also have the 04 6MT and having the same problem. Took it back to dealer at least 5 times to change the player since I got the car. They told me it is the CD that is messing up the player but who knows..

 

will they cover this after warranty period? ... had my hu replaced 2times

 

That depends on how far out of warranty it is and whether you've had it replaced before. But it is a common problem, so maybe they will work with you.
