Whats up everyone, i thought i had everything for my DD install but i read the thread about retaining the factory bose speakers and now i have some questions. Question one, if i replace the factory bose amp with an aftermarket one will i still need that adapter scosche/soundgate to reduce the hiss sound? Question two, im using an older alpine screen IVA-D300 will the pac steering wheel contol installation require any soldering or will it be just connecting simple wires? If you plan on going with an aftermarket amp, you should run RCAs from the head unit to the amp and that should be it.

You will have to tap into wires...which you can solder or crimp connect.
