Average cost of audio installation

If I were to buy a double-din conversion kit, headunit, amps, speakers, subs what would the average cost of the installation be? I live in Boston, btw.

Tough to say, depends on the type of install you want, who you have install it, how nice you want it to look when done. Try calling some shops and asking what their hourly rate or even tell them what you plan on doing most would ask you to come down and talk it over for free to give you a general idea.

Your looking at probally 500.00-800.00. I got quoted 200.00-400.00 for installs with Tweeter being the most expensive and ended up doing it myself.

Edit, thought you just wanted a DD install.

~$500 is a good estimate.

if they take the time to do a good job, and provied nothing custom, aornd 500 bucks outta do it.

i would personally charge baout 4-500...and that includes running new spekares in to the doors, dmapening both doors and the cost of all the wiring and removing rear deck speakres...but then again, i wouldnt do just a prefab box in the trunk so it may bre a little more

but in the end, dont try to go to the lowest bidder, the 100 bucks ytou save sometimes will haunt you for the rest of your car's life if the job is poorly done...
