Anybody know of any good install places in Houston, TX? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

how much you looking to spend on one? i live in houston too and me and a buddy installed a new double din this weekend. it was kind of a pain but it looks great now. i have an eclipse avn5500, which is one of the best you can get. also what year do you have?

i would stay away from an installer cause they'll charge you an arm and a leg for it and it's a rather simple DIY job. you can just get the directions for doing it on this forum.

I'm looking to spend about a grand. I have a 2003 and the HU is reading error on the cd mode. Do you have any pics?

are you looking for a stock replacement or aftermarket? aftermarket units will go for about $1k not including install. check out the threads in this section. you'll find a lot of different units and pics.

Thanks for the help. I've been checking the threads. I will probably go aftermarket. The Bose did the same thing in my G20. I've been reading about DYI, but I'm not all that technically inclined.

i'd go with the eclipse unit i have...it's a grand on woofers ect. i absolutely love the thing. it has a 30 gig hard drive that saves cd's to it and stuff so you don't have to have the disc anymore. i'll put pics up as soon as i get them downloaded.

the install really isn't that bad if you have some time and know what you're doing. the DIY manual is pretty self explanatory.
