Hey,

For those of you out there that have installed their subs and amps in their car, plz help me. I am new at this. My friend is hooking me up with Power Acoustics 1700d amp and Volfenhag 10's (2x). I don't have premium package so i do not have the bose subs. SO how would i wire everything? I detail instruction of how to do this would be nice. Thanks alot

 

The subs are mainly for some SPL and not SQ oriented. Make sure you have a precisely measured enclosure if you want to get some sound quality out of them.

basic instructions are just to splice into the rear/subwoofer signal BEFORE the bose amp. and either connect them into the speaker level connections on the amp (if it has them) or get a converter to convert them into line level.

I recommend you do not heavily use the gain on the amp as well. For most people, bad stuff happens.

I am from Torrance. I am pretty close to Irvine about an hour. Is there an amp back there without me getting the premium package? If i get it maybe i could get you to help me with it! thanks alot for the help for now.

 

Im not exactly sure how the setup is without the bose. Hrmm, anybody without bose want to answer his question?

According to the wiring diagram for the base audio system. It is just straight wiring from the head unit to the speakers, nothing in between. Hope this helps.
