4080 box style or the other options

Ok I know that plenty of people on this site have the 4080 enclosure which face each other

[) (] Like this in the trunk

so I was wondering if yall had the other type of box where there are two subs in the box and the subs are facing the towards the back of the car like most enclosures that aren't custom made.

For those of you that have had both types of enclosures do you notice any difference in sound performance since the 4080 enclosure makes the subs face each other?

Or how about some input from people that have put subs in the spare wheel well. I'd imagine it'd rattle like crazy since its surrounded by all metal.

Thanks for the inputs

I had 2 10's in the rear facing style and traded it out for one 12" in a 4080 box. The 4080 is louder.

there is a SLIGHT sound difference if you use the 4080 box that's facing sideways and the sub that's facing towards the rear.. the one facing the rear would sound better bcuz the wave would bounce back to the front of the car.. but it's not really noticeable

Try subs on trunk floor, facing up for optimum sound quality (subs placed towards the rear of the car)

thats what a friend told me.THat's whats keeping me from doing making my own box like the 4080. BUt the with the two subs facing the rear Its a harder project cause it's a bigger area to fiberglass.

The only thing with the subs being in the wheel well is that I think I can only fit one of my 12's in there.

decisions decisions

I got two of the 4080 boxes due to a desire for the maximum available usable space in the trunk.
