I just bought my new G35 last week and love it.

However I am looking to upgrade the sound system. I saw the double din solution and it looks great, however, I do have one question!

Has anyone with single climate control tried to get dual climate control to work with the new ac control unit?

 

The answer is yes, do a search, this has been covered several times.

 

Are you sure you're not reading his question backwards?

The circuit board for double-din doesn't support dual-climate directly, and those that originally have dual-climate have to solder a push button from their original board onto the new one to retain this feature.

I haven't seen any mention of anyone gaining dual-climate control if they didn't already have it. It would be nice if it's that simple, though.

Sorry misinterpreted the question, I thought it was getting dual climate control BACK after double din install, not converting single climate control into dual, that is not possible.

 

so you're trying to get dual climate on a car that dosen't currently have it??

thats going to be very difficult. I read some discussion about that months ago, and i think the final verdict was that it would require the addition of additional ducting, system, and air handlers, since the dual climate control is essentially 2 seperate systems.... or something like that.
