I was getting the long wait with "Please wait.." displayed on the screen.. and sometimes a complete lock up of my NAV system on load... which after searching for a while, I found a TSB for.

I recently got it updated, and I am not 100% sure what all the update changed, but now the navigation system loads faster and it hasn't locked up since it was updated. Also, not sure if it is a new feature or not, but the first time I hit the voice button while the nav was engaged, it said "Voice guidance on" or something like that. I dont recall it saying that before, so maybe there were some "new" features added in that update as well?

Anyone know where I could find out what that update actually entailed? Like a changelog on the firmware?

Also, who makes the actual NAV system itself for our car and do you have a model number or whatever? Maybe that will help me in searching.

Do they also make the firmware and the hardware? My guess is not. I think they just make the software.
