Is it complicated to bypass? I heard it's harder than the d1,d2,d3 series.

It is a very simple procedure. You need a certain disk though. For those of you not near Santa Ana, PM me.

 

To every1 else who doesnt wanna pay for the bypass and do it urself here it is..

the bypass and its free.. yes free... go to http://www.avic411.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8783 and download a software to upgrade ur z2 and that is it...

the only thing u need is the wires grounded in the back of ur unit.. if that is done already all u need to do is update the software.. if it hasnt been grounded. there is also a procedure on how to do that... here http://www.sminntech.com/z1flash.html#newbypass

no need to pay no1.. do it urself its very easy.. I did it yesterday...

 

Gotta love people trying to 'help' members...btw if you dont want to buy a tr-7 bypass for the alpine, the grounding 'brown' wire trick works as well
