Unlock Navi "no use while in motion" feature??

Unlock Navi "no use while in motion" feature??

Anyone know anything about bypassing the lock that wont let you use navigaion while in motion?

yes, you can install a switch that will shut off the signal that tells the navi unit that you are moving. i dont know where it is though since i had my shop do it for me. perhaps some other members can elaborate on exactly how to do it.

wait you cant use the navi in the g35 coupes while moving?

damn, im just about to buy an 07 coupe with nav....oh well ill have to do this mod i suppose.

You can use some functions, but not all. Can't type in addresses or search for certain POIs. You can do a quick search for POIs nearby (gas, banks, food, etc).

I still have one of the chips MechEE manufactured for a lot of members here. I didnt have time or the equipment to sauter a wire onto the nav circuit board. And now after ripping my dash apart so many times, didnt want to go through the trouble, but the chip basically lets you operate the navi while moving.
