Alternate IPOD Install Locations

I have a 03' Coupe and I have discovered there no good way to install a IPOD mount. I have been through all the forums looking at various Ipod installs and there is nothing for the 03/04's aside from the ProClip mounts. But the 03' and 04' versions of the ProClip are terrible and all the other fabrications are for the 05. If anyone has any suggestions please send them my way. Thanks

Does the coupe have a cup holder in the center console? I have a sedan with a custom made docking station located in the cup holder. I'll try to get a pic up for later today. I wasn't using the cup holder for anything but holding change. I wanted a docking station that didn't hang off the dash or was hidden in a cubby.

There's a been a few custom ipod setups for the coupe. One is to dock it where the ashtray is at. Another nice one I've seen (i forget from which company) is a setup that flush mounts it horizontally in the center console. Looks pretty nice since it has an acrylic type finish and you can even get a colored backlight (if you're into that)

I just got the Nissan iPod adapted that I'm going to have installed in the arm rest. I will be able to use the steering wheel controls and the stock HU to go through the playlists and music.

Edit: It also charges it and whatnot.

I really like the horizontal mount in the center counsel. That would be the cleanest install aside from the 04 and up ProClip mounts but the 03 doesn't have the sliding door in the counsel.. I have a 03.5 and was wondering if it is possible to swap counsels? Has anyone done it?

Has anyone gotten their ipod installed in the cubby hole where the GPS display unit would be? Can anyone think of pros/cons for that? The big pro I see is ease of access and reach.

You may be referring to our custom Ipod mounting system. Here is the link.

My 03 has center cup holders. I sacrificed one and mounted my docking station at an angle in it.
