I just got my G not too long ago and I'm trying to figure out if I have a factory alarm. I looked underneath the dash and couldn't find anything aftermarket, but I have this LED in the middle of the dash. Is this the factory alarm?



It blinks when the car is open, and stays on solid when car is closed.
I didnt get a keyfob either, just the key.

Any ideas?

yes, all g35 come with a stock factory alarm. it's ignition imobilizer, hood/trunk/door protection only. No shock or motion sensors.

 

Thanks, I just didn't remeber seeing any LEDs on the dash from pictures on this board.

 

You can get a key fob from eBay and program it yourself. I did that. You can also add a motion sensor to the OEM alarm.

 

You can add a shock sensor as well!

 

Oh, and you won't find any alarm boxes under the dash as the OEM security system is integrated in to the BCM behind the drivers kick panel.
