How are you using Ipod

I saw an interface kit for like $200 at my local audio store. My cousin has always had a DLO Ipod dock/cradle with built in FM transmitter so, I bought one for my G. When I took it out of the package it would only sit straight in my dash and was hard to read from drivers seat, it also came with a extension with a swivle but was way too big when connected on. Well like always I can't leave anything unmodded so I took both adapters apart and used the swivle from the extension and the power connector from the regular bracket. Well Im happy to say I got it back together in one piece and it looks like an origalnal piece And it is by far the best FM transmitter I have ever used 0 static. Where I live we don't have too many radio stations but, I was truly impressed. The sound was a bit muddy with the Ipod eq in off mode but when I put it on treble booster it sounds as good as cd and I do have the Bose system This is no joke it sounds great!! $72 from amazon shipped to my home in 3 days.

Call me ignorant, but I thought there was an OEM Nissan IPOD adaptor for the G35 like there is for the FX, M, Altima, Maxima, Murano, etc. Something that connects directly to the head unit. I'll research this.

EDIT: Found it - https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...t=IPOD+adapter

FM transmitters suck, especially if you live in a big city with lots of radio stations. I just got the Nissan factory kit installed a couple days ago and love it. The only thing it's missing is direct control on the iPod itself which would be nice when trying to find a specific song. Other than that, it's fantastic.

My fm transmitter works great and it's near cd quality. The ultimate test was this weekend when I drove to Vegas, didn't even switch the station and it was clean all the way. For 30 bucks free shipping this will work for now. But of course the OEM is nice and will definitely install later down the road when I'm ready to upgrade the head unit.

I use the Drive + Play by Harman and Kardon. It's awesome. It's only 80 bucks and really easy to install. You get a screen that displays your information (what song, minutes etc.) Has a little click wheel where you can put it anywhere you want in the car. I put it where the pop outs for the heated seats in the center console are. perfect spot. You can run it directly to the stero or use the "brain" FM transmitter. And to tell you the truth, I'm usin the FM transmitter and it really is AWESOME. I hate FM transmitters. I was weary about trying this, but after it was installed, it was FLAWLESS. Never get any problems with static or anything. It's perfect. Also have the option of hooking it right to the OEM stero (but it costs more money for the adatper) They also have a Drive + Play 2 now which is a colored screen and wireless click wheel. MUCH nicer but also 400 bucks. It's worth it I think.
