Im about to pick up a d3, and talking to my local installer he said i should pick up the cage for it. He stated that it fits better and more flush than just using the stock cage that comes with the bose unit. any thoughts? Thanks!

 

hmm as far as i know there isnt any difference in the cage you get from the say grubbs than the cage thats in your car, i have used both to install pioners and didnt notice anything...

just tell him to spend the time, drill out the holes and do it right, i hvae installed about 15 pioneer double dins using hte stock cage already
