All 2004's are pre-wired for Sat. radio. Since it's after you bought your car, you have 2 options. 1) Buy the tuner from the dealer and have them install it (or install it yourself-recommended) or 2) buy a sky-fi or roadie. The sky-fi tuner goes for around $100, the car-kit $70 and the FM modulator, only needed to bypass the cassette adapter, $70. The roadie only comes with cassette adapter I believe and that about $125 (I think). The tuner for the factory unit is around $300 plus installation. I got mine from www.infinitiwholesaleparts.com. I have a sedan and installation took me about an hour.

Yes I did have to install the antenna too. Since I have the sedan w/premium pkg, the rear seats recline. I put the antenna on the rear deck by the window, ran the wire under the trim panel, behind the seat and to the tuner. I'm not sure how to run it in the coupe, sorry.

I would buy the XM receiver from Grubbs and get a local radio shop such as Tweeter install it. The dealer wanted $650 for the receiver and install. I bought the receiver from Grubbs for $295 and got it installed for $100 locally.
