I'm changing things in my car a bit to suit my needs and i'm wondering what will sound the best using 4 speakers + a sub. I'm going to put 6.5" 3-ways in the front doors. As for the back, should I put 6.5" 3 ways in the rear quarter panels or 6X9" 3-ways in the deck? I'm really not an audiophile so, someone tell me what is going to produce greater sound quality using these guidelines. Thanks in advance.

 

If you aren't an audiophile, stick with 2 way components up front and 2 way coaxials in the rear side panels with a sub in the trunk.

 

You don't need 3 ways in the rear since it's only rear fill, which means you will not get the benefit of the the components in the rear being up front in the driver seat.

 

What are your opinions on the Infiniti Kappa 63.7i series? These are 3 way coaxials. Is there actually a disadvantage to going with a 3 way over a 2 way? Also, what are your opinions on the Tang Band 6X9 subwoofers? As far as size, they are ideal for the deck but, i'm not sure of their sound. All i'm trying to get is a system that replicates the Bose with more precision and texture. Sorry guys, i'm a big noob when it comes to anything audio.

 

I actually meant to recommend 2 way components in the doors rather than just 2 ways (which would suggest a coaxial speaker).
