component speakers

component speakers

i was wondering for those who are running just components speakers up front. do u allow any kind of bass to pass through those mids? any answer would be great thanks.

Yes, but not low bass. Depending on the speaker, I would cross them over from 90 to 120 hz.

i wouldnt want any bass coming through, just run a sep sub

You have to look at the spec of the speakers to see what you can pass through. I think I am crossed over at 80 hz for my DLS UR63.
