Ipod stealing bass?
I was on the audiocontrol website...(www.audiocontrol.com) and it states that the IPOD cuts off frequencies below 50hz. Is this true?
thats what im hoping..i have all my stuff in my ipod. I just bought an avid d3, and i have focal utopias and jl audio subs laying around. figured id throw them all in. but if its killing the sound..might as well just throw in the head for navigation

Some, but not all
When using your iPod, you will get some low-end energy. But you're probably not getting everything you should. A typical sub plays from 30 - 90 Hz. So even with a roll-of at 50, you'll still get some bass.
The Epicenter (which is the product they're promoting) is well respected in the industry for those wanting extreme bass. I've used it in previous installs, and it definitely took the bass to a new "low". If you like bass, the Epicenter is well worth the $200 you spend on it, and it would be an easy add-on the system you described.

Load some 20 to 50 hz mp3's on your iPod and find out.
Some cassette tapes also rolled off the bass. It's the way they were engineered.
The Epicenter is a great piece of equipment for restoring bass.
