Any interest in Kick-Panel Speaker Pods?

I met a guy locally today that does custom fiberglass work - mostly audio related.

I would like to see if there is enough SERIOUS interest here and explore the possibility of having him make a few sets of pods. I would have make them capable of holding a 6 1/2" mid + tweeter. I have no idea how much he would charge, but he does this kind of work "on the side", so he would be much more reasonably priced than an individual or shop who does this kind of work for a living.

I've seen some of his work in his vehicle and it is top notch. He also does sub-boxes. If I can get at least four others to commit to buying a set , depending on price, of course, I'll let him have my kick panels to make molds off of and use my car to test fit the panels.

Again, I do not know how much he would charge, but I would guess somewhere around $300/set. That is just a ballpark figure. I want to see how much interest there is before I talk to him about the details.

I'd be interested depending on what his other work looks like. Do you have any pics?

^^^^ Comments like that are just plain old ignant.

$300 for a pre-fab glass box is a bargain.

If you want it cheaper go do the work yourself.

I'd be willing to bet that if this guy does a box that has the same quality of a 4080 box the price point will be very similar.

Why do you need pods for mids and a tweeter? Isn't the OEM kick panel suitable for this install?
