Parking lights NOT working please help me find the problem...

I just got my car back from the shop yesterday!! (pics to come soon ) and everything is perfect except for the fact that my parking lights are not working.

The main problem is my tailights, the headlights turn on fine but my tails are completely off unless i hit the brake pedal which in turn they light up. Other problem that might be related...My clock/centerconsole lights and dimmer switch are also not functional.

I checked all the fuses (driver kickpanel and next to battery) and they are fine, i checked the connection at the tailight and it is also fine. Is there anything i can use to see if there is a shortage somewhere or through what other means can i find this problem?

A friend told me to check my relay, but i have no clue where or what it is and what to replace.

TIA for the help

So no parking lights, no lights on tail lights, no console lights. Sounds like they left something unplugged :/ I'd take it back tomorrow (call them today if there's time) and make them fix it.

What kind of work did you have done? Are you getting a voltage reading at the sockets?

the infamous 3rd fusebox! someone should sticky something explaining that they put the 3rd one in the most impossible retarted position imaginable.
and if a fuse blows, theres a 90% chance its in there.

See, I had the SAME EXACT problem that dream G35 has.. My taillights would not work unless I press the brake and my interior dash is not lit. I had no idea that it was messed up while I was driving til my friend that was following me told me lols and ever since I was afraid a cop will pull me over! Anyways, I think I know where the 3rd fusebox is, but do I have to take the battery out?

I'm having the same problem - my console lights and parking taillights don't work.

I only know of 2 fuse boxes in my '04 G35 sedan...one next to clutch pedal in the lower dashboard, and one just in front of the battery after taking the passenger battery cover completely off. All of the fuses in these locations tested out OK with my fuse tester.

Can someone please tell me exactly which fuse when blown causes this problem?

If it isn't a fuse, could it be a relay?

This really needs to be a sticky... I've responded to two posts already today about this, and I know there was at least one more. Check the post below...

I actually ended up finding the thread you listed via copious searching prior to you posting it (but thanks!). Now the problem for me is that the taillight fuse just keeps blowing when replaced with fuse of same amperage (10A). Any suggestions on where/how to look for the short?

Thanks in advance.
