AVIC D-3 Questions before Purchase

Need some assistance please...

Been searching here for a few hours and I believe I know what I need I just have a few short quick questions that I am confused on

2006 Sedan:

Bracket - Is it necessary to purchase the bracket for install? Or will the one on the stock unit work?

Sirius Display - How is it?

Antenna Adapter - I assume this is to convert the stock antenna to the Pioneer...please confirm... in addition, recommended retailer?

Metra Wire Harness 70-7551 - is this the only harness needed?

Pacs - Swips - correct model for Pioneer hookup? I have read a few conflicting threads.

DVD Playback - Is it true that the car has to be in park in order to play videos? Can I play a DVD while driving (for passenger of course)

Bluetooth - Has anyone purchased the CD-BTB200 adapter for it and if so are you satisfied with the functionality???

Thanks for any inout you guys have..

Much appreciated

Hey marzz dudE!

Well, it depends on what you're installing as the HU for the bracket.

Yeah, the antenna adapter should convert to the Pioneer (usually behind the controlling unit)

For the Metra Wire Harness, in other threads (now I forget which) there were some other wiring harness you could use. But the 70-7551 would do just fine.

Um not really sure about the PACS - Swips because I had a Toyota RAV4 and we didn't have the controlling on the steering wheel so I've never played around with that.

No, you can bypass the Park-In-Place DVD playback EASILY.. And believe me, when you play DVD's on while you're driving, it is very hard not to look down. I've watched many movies just by driving back and forth alone, really fun while sitting in traffic. Just be sure to turn it off if cop pulls by, it is illegal to play DVD's while driving because of saftey.

I was just looking at that CD-BTB200 device yesturday because I wanted to have bluetooth in my car, if you decide to buy it, let me know how it goes!

Hope this reply helps.. If not, here ya go
