my lighter has not work in about a year.....I need it now and the dealer does not want to touch it cause of my audio mods in the back of it.

I was wondering if I bought one at autoZone if it would just plug in and work?

 

all you need to do is use a voltmeter and check the wires plugged into the socket. if there;s no voltage, then obviously a new plug wont fix the problem. And if thats the case, if it is not a fuse, it will probably be easier to run new wires to the socket than trace the problem.

Did you not install you stereo yourself? If not the installer might have cut the wires or may not have even plugged the wires back into the socket.

i dont have a radio, just a tvandnav2go unit installed with a back up camera and all done by myself - it worked at first, but i dunno why it failed, i dont smoke so i never bothered to fix it.


but i need to charge my phone now ~

 

im so dumb =\ my fuse was not even installed, thus it didnt work, been like that over a year!

 

^^ hahahaha, I hate when that happens!!! At least it was an easy and dirt cheap fix
