Gilley, so I did some research on capacitors, and I now understand there uses.

Did you install your capacitor before or after installing your apline amps? In other words, did you encounter a problem with your amps drawing too much power from your battery and therefore needed the capacitor?

I'm running to "sally" amps right now, and I have not noticed any power draw down. However, I soon plan to go with a set-up similar to yours, and I need to factor it in for budget reasons if it's needed.

 

I installed the capacitor at the same time as the amps anticipating that I would need it. I took it out for a little while and found that I do need it. The lights dim to the beat. The amps total 1600 watts rated power.
