I just wanted to know whey every other website that sells valentine 1 radar/laser detectors sell it for 499 when you can go direct to valentine 1's website to buy it for 399? Am I missing something? Is there something less you get with ordering it from V1? Are they out of stock?

What is different between the two?

 

From my research Euro LEO uses different radar and laser signals/frequencies than in the US. Can someone confirm this is correct? Does this mean that V1 euro edition will catch US and Euro frequencies or just Euro frequencies?

 

^^The V1.8 with Euro mode and POP2 will work in the US just fine, these are extra features added to make it more $$. I got mine on Ebay for 258$ plus 25 for a hardwire kit and 25 for "Mikes mount" best money spent IMO

 

My understanding is that Valentine Research is the only actual place to get a V1 (think of how Dell was a few years ago) so anyone you buy it from had to get it from VR first. I got mine direct from them. Oh, just one note: they shipped mine FedEx and required an "adult" signature, and by adult they meant 21 (or maybe it was 25, i don't remember) and since I was only 19 at the time, FedEx wouldn't give it to me.

I don't know anything about the Euro version or anything.

 

I thought the ONLY place you can get them is off the website, soooooooo....

The guys selling them fro $500 are just making a $100 profit cause they buy them there also.

 

I got mine just 8 months ago brand new from the site and now im selling it. If anyone interested.
